Introduction
of CBAC |
 |
CBAC was registered in May 2005 as a consultancy
under the Beijing Municipal Chamber for Commerce and Trade. CBAC
succeeded PACT China, which was operational in China from 2001
until 2004 on capacity building and institutional strengthening
of the NGO sector. While CBAC is now an independent Chinese grass-root
organization, it is continuing the methodologies and programs
of Pact China and maintains a close relationship with Pact through
their worldwide learning network.
The objective of CBAC is to contribute to social
stability, equity and sustainable development in China through
supporting the growth of a dynamic and pluralistic civil society
and building linkages between communities, government and business.
CBAC works with a wide range of different NGOs in China, but is
particularly devoted to supporting indigenous grassroots NGOs.
VISION:
The vision of CBAC is to realize a responsible civil society in
China where citizens enjoy freedom of information, participation
in decisions that affect them, and equal opportunity to achieve
their dreams through building linkages between communities, government
and business.
MISSION:
CBAC’s mission is to provide customized services in NGO management,
organizational development and through facilitating learning networks
to meet the specific needs of non-profit organizations at different
development stages by taking advantage of broad international
networks and domestic human resources.
